GIRARD PLANNING COMMISSION

The Planning Commission consists of five members. As of January 1, 1997, they are:

1. George Finelli - Chairperson
2. James J. Melfi, Mayor
3. Jerome Lambert, Director of Public Service
4. John Latell
5. Anthony Guerrieri

The purpose of the Planning Commission is to function as a screening agency for city council. It reviews and recommends to city council some of the following activities regarding the growth and development in the city.

1. Annexation
2. Plat plans
3. Zoning
4. Vacation of streets and alleys
5. Amendments to zoning ordinances

Council then acts on their actions.
